The Kalamkar, UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big decision. CM Yogi on Tuesday reviewed the food grain procurement and distribution system in the state and also gave necessary directions to the officials.

Let us tell you, during the review, the Chief Minister has made it clear that payment to the farmers will be ensured within 48 hours of purchase. Besides, full care will be taken for the convenience of farmers at paddy purchasing centers also.

Farmers will get this benefit-

So far in this session, 28.17 lakh tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 4,21,557 farmers in the state. More than Rs 5,253 crore has been paid under this item. At present, 5204 purchasing centers are operating in the state, where more than 1 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is being purchased daily.

In the interest of Annadata farmers, we have decided that as long as there is a single farmer left to purchase paddy, the purchasing centers will continue to function. In every case, it should be ensured that payment is made to the farmer within 48 hours of purchase.

A large number of farmers benefited

A large number of farmers have also benefited from the purchase of grains (coarse grains) at the minimum support price. So far this year, more than Rs 646 crore has been paid by purchasing 2.92 lakh tonnes of millet from more than 55 thousand farmers.

Similarly, 4,382 tonnes of maize has been purchased from 891 farmers and 11,462 tonnes of jowar has been purchased from 2344 farmers at the fixed MSP. The Chief Minister said that ration will be available to every eligible family in the state easily and with complete transparency.

e-loop machine

The Chief Minister said that the state government has included electronic weighing scale with the e-loop machine to ensure correct weight.

It will be implemented with immediate effect. He also said that ration should be distributed immediately after biometric verification in the e-loop machine. If there is any disturbance by any other personnel with the Kotedar, then strict action will be taken against such people.

The Chief Minister said that while further improving the single stage door step delivery, the government has also made arrangements to deliver ration directly from the warehouse to the Kotdar. This will be continued smoothly. The new contract for GPS systems in vehicles will be tailored to single stage delivery.
