Bank Holiday List September 2024 - The month of August is going to end in a few days and in such a situation, many customers think of settling the bank related work, while some postpone it at the beginning of the new month. For information, let us tell you that like every month, this month also RBI i.e. Reserve Bank of India has released the holiday list of banks.

There is going to be a lot of holidays in the month of September. Because in the month of September, banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days due to various anniversaries and festivals. In such a situation, if you are planning to go to the branch for any bank related work, then do check the list of holidays before leaving home.   

Banks will not open for 15 days - 

Although banks are closed on Sundays and second Saturdays every month. But due to the festive season, banks will remain open for only 15 days in the month of September. Banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days including festivals, birth anniversaries and Saturdays and Sundays. Some of these holidays will be valid only according to the states.

List of holidays in the month of September - 

1 September 2024- Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 4 – Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, banks in Guwahati will remain closed.

September 7: On account of Ganesh Chaturthi, banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Panaji will remain closed.

September 8 – Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 14 – Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday of the month.

September 15 – Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 16 – Due to Milad Un Nabi, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kochi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram. 

September 17 – Banks in Gangtok and Raipur will remain closed on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

September 18 – Banks in Gangtok will remain closed due to Pang-Lhabsol.

September 20 – Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed on account of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.

September 22 – Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 21 – Banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on account of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.

September 23 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Maharaja Harisingh Ji's birthday.

September 28 – Banks will remain closed across the country due to fourth Saturday.

September 29 – Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.
