The Kalamkar News, Digital Desk- New Delhi: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has prepared a DPR to provide rapid rail connectivity between Noida International Airport and Ghaziabad and submitted it to the Yamuna Authority on Friday. It has been told in the DPR that in the first phase, 22 stations will be built from Ghaziabad to the airport. 

High Speed ​​Rapid Rail, normal Rapid Rail and Metro will all run on the same track. The speed of all three will be different and stations will be determined for their stoppages accordingly. 

It is being told that the first phase will be completed in the next 6 years i.e. by 2030. 13 other stations will be built on this route in future. Flights are expected to start from Noida Airport in October 2024.

The second journey between Noida Airport and Delhi Airport (IGI) can be completed in less time. With the High Speed ​​Rapid Rail, passengers will be able to reach from Sarai Kale Khan to Noida Airport in 56 minutes, from Delhi Airport to Noida Airport in 66 minutes and from Meerut to Jewar Airport in 72 minutes. 

This track of Rapid Rail will be like a lifeline for the people of Greater Noida West and Greater Noida. Yamuna Authority will send this DPR to the government level in the next few days. 

This DPR is expected to be approved by June. The high-speed rapid rail will stop only at select stations. Which stations it will stop at will be decided later.

This will be the speed of all three trains

High Speed ​​Rapid Rail – 114 kilometers per hour

Normal Rapid Rail - 80 kmph

Metro - 46 kmph

The first phase will be completed in 2030

The target of construction of 72.2 km long elevated route from Ghaziabad to Noida Airport has been set for 2030. It is estimated that about Rs 17,343 crore will be spent on its construction. In this, the share of the central government will be 20 percent, the state government's share will be 50 percent and NIAL's share will be 30 percent. 

According to the survey, the number of passengers on this route will reach 3.09 lakh in 2031 and 7.04 lakh in 2054-55. The rapid rail and metro running between Noida Airport and Ghaziabad will be operated by NCRTC.

13 stations will be built in the second phase

In both the phases, 35 stations are to be built in this entire project. 13 stations will be built in the second phase, but after the first phase of the project starts operating, 13 stations of the second phase will be built as per the need of the passengers. There is no deadline for when the work of the second phase will be completed.
