IPL 2024 may start from March 22, final will be held on May 26: Reports

The Kalamkar News, IPL 2024 Dates: The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) can start from March 22. The final match of the world's richest T20 cricket league can be held on 26 May. 

If this happens, then only 5 days will be left between IPL 2024 and T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. The T20 World Cup will start from June 1, 2024 on the soil of West Indies and America. India's first match in the T20 World Cup 2024 will be against Ireland on June 5, nine days after the end of IPL 2024.

IPL 2024 may start from March 22  

According to the report of Cricbuzz, BCCI is considering organizing IPL 2024 in the window from March 22 to May 26. At the same time, the second season of WPL can be organized from 22 February to 17 March.

At present, it does not seem possible to release the schedule of IPL 2024 due to the date of Lok Sabha elections. The final decision on the schedule of IPL 2024 will be taken only after the date of Lok Sabha elections is revealed. 

As soon as the election dates are announced, it will not take much time for the complete schedule of IPL 2024 to arrive. 

BCCI's biggest task

BCCI has received assurance from most of the cricket boards that their players will be available till the IPL final. However, considering that the T20 World Cup starts from June 1, some players may make an early exit midway through the IPL 2024 season. 

The biggest task of BCCI is to organize IPL 2024 along with the general elections and to organize the league in India itself. Meanwhile, Indian players held a net session in Hyderabad, in which most of the players including Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja participated. 

The first match between India and England will be played from January 25 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
