How and how much is earned?
For booking of registered items, a commission of Rs 3 per transaction has been fixed.
For booking Speed Post articles, the commission per transaction is Rs 5.
For money orders, a commission of Rs 3.50 is available on booking money orders between Rs 100 and Rs 200. At the same time, on money orders above Rs 200, you will get a commission of Rs 5 per transaction. Franchise agents will not book money orders of less than Rs 100.
Achieving the monthly target of 1000 registered and Speed Post bookings will earn an additional commission of 20 percent.
A commission of 5 percent of the sale amount is fixed on the sale of postage stamps and stationery.
For retail services including sale of revenue stamps, Central Recruitment Fee stamps etc., a commission is fixed at 40 per cent of the income earned by the Department of Posts. This amount will be rounded off to 40% or less in rupees.
