A new railway line of 56.15 kilometers will be laid at a cost of crores in this district of UP, the fate of lakhs of people is open

Indian Railway -  Passengers traveling by train in Uttar Pradesh have got an important facility. In fact, from February 10, the operation of trains on this route will be stopped after two days. Because construction of a new railway line of 56.15 kilometers will start on this route. The government has spent Rs 342 crore for this project.

The Kalamkar News, UP News: Due to construction of broad gauge line between Bahraich Railway and Rupaidiha for this railway line,  operation of trains will stop from 10th February. 

Due to gauge conversion, 56.15 km long railway line worth Rs 342 crore will have to be converted into broad gauge. The Railway Ministry had given a budget of Rs 342 crore for this. Eastern Railway was also given the first installment of Rs 180 crore in October 2023. Trains will start operating on this line only after the broad gauge line is built. 

A target of 30 years has been set to complete the gauge conversion. Four big bridges and 19 small bridges will be constructed on this route. With broad gauge, the number of trains will also be increased. About 85 lakh people of Bahraich and Gonda will benefit from this.

Work will be done from Bahraich to Nanpara in the first phase. 

Changing the scale should be done in two stages. In the first phase, the distance from Bahraich to Nanpara will be 35.61 kilometers. Upon completion, 20.54 kilometers of work will be completed from Nanpara to Nepalganj Railway Station. The work will be done faster due to it being done in two phases.

Target to complete the plan in 30 years 

The target to complete the gauge conversion work on Bahraich-Nepalganj route is two years. Four big bridges and 19 small bridges will be constructed on this route. 

With broad gauge, the number of trains will also be increased. About 85 lakh people of Bahraich and Gonda will benefit from this. Due to gauge change, Rs 56.15 crore railway lines will have to be converted into broad gauge. 

Bahraich-Nanpara-Rupeediha train service will be closed from Saturday. The last train will run on this route on February 9.
