UP News: Good news for the people of UP, Yogi government will give free LPG cylinders to these people

New Delhi Media- Free LPG Cylinder Scheme: Like last year, this time too the Yogi government has issued an order to give free LPG cylinders on the occasion of Diwali. With this step of the government, 1.86 crore families of Uttar Pradesh will get direct benefit of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

Distribution is done on Holi and Diwali-

Let us tell you that after the order of the government, the distribution of free LPG cylinders has been started before Diwali. Actually, under the 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana', free LPG cylinders are distributed twice a year in the state on the occasion of Holi and Diwali respectively. Under this, a government order has been issued to distribute free LPG cylinders before Diwali.

Government is spending Rs 1890 crore-

Last year, 1.85 crore beneficiary families and more than 85 lakh women were given the benefit. This year, the number of beneficiaries has increased to 1.86 crore families. The government is spending Rs 1,890 crore for this.

Let us tell you that under the Ujjwala Yojana, the central government is giving a subsidy of Rs 300 to the beneficiaries. Whereas, the remaining discount is given by the state government. Under the scheme, 14.2 kg cylinder is refilled for the beneficiaries.

Free cylinders were also given on Holi- 

The Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) had launched this scheme on 10 November 2023 last year and approved the transfer of subsidy amount to the accounts of the beneficiaries. On the occasion of Holi also, the Yogi government had given free cylinders to the Ujjwala beneficiaries.
