5 bypasses will be built in these districts of Bihar, uninterrupted traffic facility will be available
Bihar Road Project: The government is taking commendable steps regarding road connectivity in Bihar. In the last few years, transportation for people has become easier. Now five bypass roads will be built in these districts in the state. The fate of the people of these districts is going to change.
Bihar Road Initiative: Big steps have been taken by the government to ease the traffic system in Bihar. The process of land acquisition for building bypasses is going to start soon. Construction of 5 bypasses in the state will ease the movement of people and get rid of the problem of traffic jams.
The Road Construction Department has given administrative approval of Rs 676.27 crore to 25 schemes under the Sulabh Sampark Yojana in Bihar. The estimated cost of building five bypasses in these is about Rs 127.72 crore. These bypasses will be built in Begusarai, Kaimur and Katihar. Their construction will begin soon.
By when will the bypass be built and ready?
Soon the process of land acquisition will begin for building bypasses in these districts. Also, the work is likely to start this year and be completed by next year.
Apart from this, repair of roads and construction of short length roads are included under the departmentally approved Sulabh Sampark Yojana.
More than a dozen bypasses will be built this year
There is a plan to start the construction of twenty four bypasses including these five bypasses this year, according to sources, under the Sulabh Sampark Yojana.
Its purpose is to ensure safe traffic from outside the cities in the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that this will enable one to reach the capital Patna from any place in the state in about five hours.
Also, there will be easy access to the district headquarters, block headquarters, police station, subdivision, market, hospital, important educational institutions, religious places and tourist places at the local level. Farmers will also benefit in transporting grains to the markets.
The width will be 7 metres.
The width of the bypass to be built under the state's Sulabh Sampark Yojana will be around seven meters, sources said. This can make movement easier.
Currently, the state wants to build 120 new bypasses. Of these, the maximum eleven bypasses will be built in Begusarai. Its length will be around 20.10 km.
The longest bypass will be built in Kaimur. Six 52 km long bypasses will be built in Kaimur. Apart from this, a plan to build four bypasses in Katihar is also being worked on.
